The games 3
About this collection
Every game here is about being light enough for the air to carry you. You hold a button to catch the wind and let go to fall back toward the ground, and the whole game lives in that rhythm.
In Lantern Rise you lift a paper lantern up through a thunderstorm. In Thistledown and Seedfall you guide Tuft, a fluffy thistle seed, up three dusk gardens and then all the way back down one tall one. They are for anyone who wants something calm to look at with a little skill underneath, a few minutes at a time.
How to play
All three games run in the browser, so you can pick a tile and start playing on this page.
- Lantern Rise: hold to rise, let go to drift. Avoid lightning and catch fireflies to keep the flame lit.
- Thistledown: move with the arrow keys or A and D, hold jump to fluff up and glide, and steer into the warm air over the flowerpots to rise.
- Seedfall: fluff up to float, tuck in to drop fast, and collect dandelion seeds for a better time.
Two ways to play Tuft
Thistledown and Seedfall share a hero and a garden. Thistledown climbs up three gardens to the windowsill flower box. Seedfall starts at that flower box and goes the other way, down one tall garden against the clock, so the updrafts that helped you climb are now in your way.

Game 1 of 3
Lantern Rise
A cozy one-button storybook climb: hold to lift a paper lantern through a thunderstorm.
Lantern Rise is a cozy, one-button storybook climb. Hold to lift a little paper lantern up through a wild thunderstorm, let go to drift on the wind, and see how high your flame can carry you.
Your flame slowly fades as you climb. Fly through drifting fireflies to keep it glowing, and watch for the rare golden firefly: one catch restores your whole flame. The storm will not make it easy. Thunderclouds glow and crackle before they strike straight down, and pairs of storm puffs throw arcs of lightning across the sky on a steady rhythm. A strike dims your flame, and the storm keeps creeping up from below, so keep rising.
