Pip the otter is playing hide-and-seek all over Maplewood Children's Hospital. Peek into six storybook rooms, from the roof garden to the X-ray room, and find Pip plus ten hidden things in each one: a teddy, a rubber duck, a paper plane, a stethoscope and many more.
Along the way children meet the kind grown-ups who work there. A nurse, a play worker, a pharmacist, a radiographer, a cook and a gardener each say hello and explain what happens in their room in short, gentle lines. Every find becomes a sticker in the sticker book, so a hospital that might feel big and new starts to feel familiar and friendly.
How to play
Press Play, pick a room and start looking. The strip at the bottom of the screen shows the shapes of everything still hiding, with Pip first in line. There is no timer and no way to lose, so children can explore at their own pace.
- Pick one of the six rooms on the hospital map
- Look closely: Pip is peeking out from somewhere
- Tap Pip and each hidden thing to find it
- Drag to look around, zoom in to spot tiny things
- Tap the grown-up and the things in the room to hear what they do
- Stuck? Tap a shape in the bottom strip and the camera glides to it with a soft glow
- Find all eleven for a confetti celebration
The six rooms
Garden: a calm roof garden with a fountain and a greenhouse, looked after by the gardener.
Ward: where children rest and sleep, with beds that go up and down and a nurse who checks you are comfy.
X-ray: the big camera that takes pictures of your bones, and a radiographer who says it doesn't hurt one bit.
Pharmacy: where medicine is made and checked, with a pharmacist at the counter.
Playroom: games, painting and a fish tank, with a play worker who helps children feel brave.
Cafe: soup, fruit and drinks from a friendly cook.
For parents and hospital teams
Where's Pip? was made to help children get to know a children's hospital before or during a stay. Each room introduces a real hospital place and the person who works there in simple, reassuring words that a grown-up can read aloud with a younger child.
There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts. The game asks for no personal information, and sticker progress is saved only on the device. Hints are gentle and slow, and nothing on screen flashes.
