Kingsroad Idle

Walk the Kingsroad as a Knight, Ranger or Sorcerer in a dark fantasy pixel-art idle RPG, seen through your hero's own eyes. Your hero fights on their own; tap the road to strike harder, cast spells, and hit the glowing weak point on every boss.

Goblins, wolves, wraiths and trolls stand in the way, and every tenth wave a boss blocks the road: the Troll Chieftain, the Spider Queen, the Bone Lich, the Wyvern, the Dark Knight and the Elder Dragon. Loot and enchant gear, upgrade at the blacksmith, learn skills with runes, and make pilgrimages for permanent blessings until you can dethrone the Hollow King in region 30. Then race the Hall of Fame clock or ride on endlessly.

How to play

Press Begin Journey and choose a class. Your hero walks the road and fights each wave alone, so you can play actively or let it run.

• Tap or click the road to strike harder
• Spells cast themselves; turn Auto Cast off to fire them yourself
• On boss waves, hit the glowing weak point before the timer runs out
• Spend gold at the Blacksmith and runes on Skills
• Equip better loot from the Inventory, enchant it with essence, salvage the rest
• Send companions on quests from the Tavern
• From region 4, make a pilgrimage at the Shrine of Dawn for favor and blessings

The road to the throne

Thirty regions across six lands: the Valley Road, the Darkwood, the Bone Marsh, the Mountain Pass, the Castle Gate and the Inner Keep. Every lap of the road is darker and harder, until the Hollow King waits in region 30.

Beat him and the Endless Crusade opens, with new blessings to earn. The Hall of Fame times your journey in real time, from a new hero to the Hollow King's fall.

Idle and offline

Your hero keeps earning gold for up to 4 hours while you are away (longer with the Long Rest blessing), and companions come back from their quests with gold, runes and loot. Three hero slots keep separate saves.
