Your castle wall is a stone serpent. Steer it around your keep, close the loop, and the land inside becomes your castle. Then hold it against catapults, warships, goblin sappers and fire-breathing dragons.
Each round you get 30 seconds to build and 20 to defend. Swipe to steer the serpent, eat stones to grow it, and touch your own wall or the keep to seal it into stone. Every tile you fully enclose becomes castle ground. When the siege horn sounds, tap to fire the keep's cannon while your towers and archers fire on their own. Survive, pick a boon, and build again.
How to play
One round is Build, Siege, Score, Boon. The run ends when the keep falls or no castle ground survives a siege.
- Build (30 seconds): swipe to steer the serpent out of the keep. Grey stones add a segment, gold stones add three.
- Seal: touch your own wall, your body or the keep and the serpent sets into permanent wall. Everything fully enclosed becomes castle ground.
- Careful: the map edge, rocks, trees and water crumble the serpent into rubble.
- Siege (20 seconds): tap anywhere to fire the keep's cannon. Towers and archers fire on their own.
- Score and boon: count your ground, towers, buildings and kills, then pick 1 of 3 boon cards.
- The run ends when the keep falls or no castle ground survives a siege.
Structures
Walls that form bigger shapes get stronger and pay off.
- Any 2x2 block of wall becomes a tower with its own cannon
- Bigger connected wall networks move up from fieldstone to cut stone to dark granite
- A courtyard of 12 or more tiles raises Barracks: archers on the walls
- A courtyard of 30 or more tiles raises a Great Hall that repairs walls between rounds
- Keep the Forge, Well or Shrine enclosed for stronger towers, repaired walls or an extra boon choice
The siege
Catapults and goblin sappers attack from round 1, warships join from round 2, and a red dragon arrives from round 3. Waves grow with the round number and with the size of your castle. Destroyed walls leave craters; crawl over them in the next build phase to rebuild the breach.
